Public Notices MOUNT HERBERT COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF ESTIMATES AND INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES PURSUANT to the provisions lof Section 121 of the Local Government Act 1974 and al] amendments thereto, public notice is hereby given that the Mount Herbert County Council has approved the following estimates of income and expenditure for the period commencing on. the Ist day of April, 1978, and ending on the 31st day of March 1979. 1. Income: Credit Balance April 1, 1978 Nil Arrears and Rate Penalties 2,750 Petroleum Taxation 4,500 Inspection and Licences 3,575. Miscellaneous 24,340 Administration, Recoveries, etc 145,785 $180,930 2. The additional sum required is $96,806. 4. The total rateable capital value of the property on the valuation roll is $22,307,000. 5. The General Rate necessary to raise the money required is .44182. Pursant to Section 52 of ’the Rating Act, 1967. and the Local Government Act 1974, further notice is given that it is the intention of the Mount Herbert County Council. at an Ordinary Meeting to be held on the 31st day of July. 1978, at the Council Chambers, Church Bay, at the hour of 1.30 p.m., to make the folowing rate for the year commencing on the Ist day, of April, 1978, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1979. GENERAL RATE: Under the provisions of Section 139 of the Local Government Act 1974, a General Rate of .44182 c in the $ on the capital value of all rateable property in the County of Mount Herbert. The said rates to be due and payable to the Mount I Herbert County Treasurer on ithe J4th day of August, 1978, at the Heathcote County Offices, 66 Colombo Street, Christchurch. The valuation rolls and rate records for the County of Mount Herbert and a full ; copy of the above estimates, i are open for inspection by ratepayers during office hours at the Council Office. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 70 of the Rating Act. 1967, a rebate of 2| per cent shall be alowed on all rates paid on or before the 13th day of September, 1978. Pursuant to the provisions , of Section 71 of the Rating Act 1967, an additional charge of 10 per cent shall be added to all rates upaid at the expiration of six months from the assessment thereof.
