NZPA-Reuter Riyadh (Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia has de nounced the reported assas sination of the North Ye n eni President (Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Hussah Ghashmi) and warned that I would not allow any foreigr inerventior to achieve it: aim in “this Muslim sister country,” the offivial Saud Press Agency has reported. The agencv quoted a state rnent from the Roval Cour, as saying that Saudi Arabit would stand with determina tion by the Yemeni people to safeguard their devei opment and stability. The statement said the “vicious crime” was carried out by “criminals who have s' - Id their religion and home land to foreign powers whose aim is to fragmenl the Arab nation and create th ■ proper atmosphere tc achieve their purposes and principles.” The Saudi statement appeared to olame Marxist South Yemen foi the murder. Saudi Arabia has been 8 strong supporter of President Ghashmi since he took over last year. South Yemen has condemned the killing and denied allegations that it. was involved in the murder.
