Ashburton boxing
A crowd of about 400 watched some action-packed fights as the Ashburton Boxing Club held its tournament at the Sports Hall yesterday. There were 19 fights on) the programme and the feature was the last in which! Marie r Broadhurst knocked' out Tommy Tamago of In-; vercargill in a heavyweight contest. Broadhurst is better known as a Canterbury rugby league player, and this was only his second bout, and win. Results, points decisions unless otherwise stated: R. Murphy (Twizel) beat K.
