Bananas coining later this week
Two vessels coming direct I from overseas are scheduled; to arrive in Lyttelton this i week. The Nedlloyd Fremantle is due from Singapore today to discharge 300 tonnes of general cargo, and to load refrigerated cargo for SouthEast Asia. The Nittoku Maru is scheduled to arrive from' Japan tomorrow to load meat for Japan. A cargo of bananas will arrive iater in the week on the Wild Grebe, after she discharges at Auckland. Lyttelton will miss seeing j the Mairangi Bay, one of the | world’s biggest container ships, when she comes to New Zealand in September. The 2044-container vessel will call at Auckland, Wellington and Port Chalmers. The Mairangi Bay, which will cover the direct New Zealand-London voyage in 25 days, is part of the fleet of Overseas Containers, Ltd. I
