i had brought an action against him. Mr Downes attended the hearing with a friend who had been through a similar procedure earlier when he had imported 13 magazines from Australia. The other young man said i he had been allowed to keep i some of the books, but he ■ alleged that three on which ; no ruling had been sought I were still b(' ig kept by the ’ Customs Department. The tribunal reserved its I decision on the magazines i Mr Downes had imported. The case of ine other i books, on which the Magistrate’s Court at Christchurch ; had asked for a classification, was adjourned. It is expected that the hearing on these books,; which all deal with drugs,; ■ will be held late in July. The 'titles include “Marijuana L Growers’ Guide,” Cooking I with Marijuana,” and “Indoor : Marijuana Cultivation.”
