Will be part of a team engaged in studies of the effects of land use on water quality. Qualifications: PhD or M.Sc with specialisation in Physical Chemistry or Physical Organic Chemistry. Qualifications: PhD or M.Sc in science with a knowledge of biochemistry and microbiology essential. VAC. NO. 4332 ALGAL BIOCHEMISTRY: To elucidate the mechanisms involved in plankton succession and dominance through laboratory and field studies of algal growth factors, the development of standardised bioassay procedures, and the development of methods for the use of phytoplankton as an index of water quality. Qualifications: PhD or Honours degree in algal biochemistry or physiology, with demonstrated ability in the fields of algal bioassay and physiological studies. VAC.
