Rises outnumbered falls by more than two to one on a firm, active New Zealand sharemarket yesterday. C.F.C.A. rights regained 2c, while Motor Holdings was steady at 48c on its loss. Trading was active in Wattie’s shares, the largest parcel of 100,000 selling at 65c for a fall of Ic. Christchurch Gas was steady at 110 c.
