Its arrival was also in- ■ opportune as it reached London in May when Prince : Charles was visiting Austra- ! lia for the funeral of Sir Robert Menzies. “The Prince’s programme had already been worked out for June 29. the day of the church wedding.” said the ■ spokesman, “He was due to take the salute at No. 5 troop’s passing-out oarade and he could not really go ■ back on this.” No other member of the .'royal family is going to Monaco and there has been no suggestion of their being ; represented officially.
