Visits to studs

Buyers planning to attend the first annual Cheviot bull sale will have the opportunity to inspect the stock on Friday, June 30. The vendors have allowed two hours for inspections at each of the four studs. The Blytheburn stock will be available for inspection from 10 a.tn. to 12 noon. Southern visitors should take the Blythe Road turn-off, south of the Greta cutting.

The Winchenden cattie will be available between 11 a.m. and 1 p.in.

On the Parnassus side of the district, the lona herd, situated three miles

up the Leader Road from the main highway will be inspected between noon and 2 p.m. and the Mendip Hills cattle, two miles further on, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The visits to the four studs provide for the inspection of sale cattie only. It is not a herd tour. This has not been a favourable year for growing out young cattle, but after a good late autumn, the bulls are in good sale or er. All have been produced on grass and hay.
