Local women have agreed to host a spinning and weaving display. The National Spinning and Weaving Society has 5500 members and is growing at a rate of 500 a year. At a recent festival in Auckland, 1000 people turned out to see the garments and household furnishings created by the craft. The board will have an expert on hand to explain the machinery involved in the price supplementation scheme for growers announced in the Budget. The deputy-chairman of the board, M-r J. D Mcllraith, will speak at 2 p.m.
