‘The Double Helix’
The events that led to the discovery of the secrets of hereditary characteristics are recounted in "The Double Helix,” SPTV’s “This World” fea* ture tonight. The film is a scientific document based on Professor James Watson’s highly successful book of the same name, which traces the dramatic and emotional events leading up to the discovery of D.N.A. (deoxyribonucleic acids), which is often referred to as the “discovery of the secret of life.”
