N.Z. qualifiers
PA Wellington The Davis Cup Onny Parun, Brian Fairlie and Chris Lewis, are New Zealand’s only players to be accepted direct into the main draw for the Wimbledon tennis championships, which start on June 26. The New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association yesterday received a cable from the All England Club advising of the acceptances for the tournament. Lewis, the country’s topranked player, is accepted direct into the singles, doubles and mixed draws, Fairlie into the singles and doubles and Parun into the singles and doubles.

They have missed out on places in the qualifying singles. I David Mustard (Auckland) , will play in the qualifying , singles and doubles, as will Judy Chaloner. Canterbury’s i Sally Chapman will play in the doubles qualifying.
