Pay act review
J A Wellington A committee to review and report on the final implementation of equal pay has been appointed by the Minister of Labour (Mr Gordon). To help the committee determine whether the Equal Pay Act has been correctly implemented, written submissions to it are invited from interested parties. They should be addressed to the Secretary, Equal Pay Review
Committee, Head Office, Department of Labour, Private Bag, Wellington. The closing date is July 31. Committee members are Messrs E. Heggie (chairman), R. Taylor, (Employers’ Federation), S. Williams (Department of Labour), and Mesdames E. Orr (National Advisory Council on the Employment of Women), R. King (Council for Equal Pay and Opportunity), and S. Davies (Federation of Labour).
