Chrissy’s new role

Paula Wilcox (above) as Elizabeth Jones in “Miss Jones And Son,” a new six-part comedy series in which she is an unmarried mother with problem parents. Paula Wilcox is one of the most popular young actresses on television through the comedy series “The Lovers,” “Man About The House” and now “Miss Jones and Son.” She was born in Manchester and started acting at the age of 17 when she joined the National Youth Theatre. She was spotted by Granada Television, which led to her first big break in “The Lovers.” She was in the film version of “The Lovers” in 1972 and the same year appeared on stage in “How The Other Half Loves.” Roles in TV plays followed and then she was cast to play Chrissy in what has proved an enormously successful and long-running TV series, “Man About The House.”

Immediately after completing this series Paula was invited by Thames to star in her own series entitled “Miss Jones and Son.” She has just finished recording the second series, which is soon to be transmitted in Britan.
