Phinneas Finn sold
Phinneas Finn, the winner of two races on the Marlborough course earlier in the season, is to join the flood (of horses leaving New Zealand for the United States. He has been purchased by the American dealer, Kevin Purcell, who recently acquired several horses including the talented two-year-old, Prince Rapide. Phinneas Finn, a three-vear-old gelding by Tarport I Coulter from Red Sister, has been scratched from the Marlborough Transport Handicap at the Blenheim meeting today. His sale was negotiated by the West Melton trainer, Robert Dunn.
