A lively line-up for ‘Radio with Pictures’
In “Radio with Pictures’" on South Pacific Television tonight Van Morrison performs a five-min-ute version of his classic
“Moondance” on stage with Carlos Santana, Dr John and George Benson. “Meat Loaf” perform material from their new
“Bat Out of Hell” album which is doing well on the charts, as is the music of “The Darts” who perform a 1950 s Rock and Roll medley. The only New Zealand act on the show is a teenage Auckland band, “Golden Harvest,” who present their new single “Give a little Love.”
Leo Sayer, who recently toured New Zealand, makes an appearance, and Kate Bush is back. Irish New-Wavers, the ’‘Boom Town Rats,” can be .seen in action, and the Negro band “Stuff” perform an instrumental version of Stevie Wonder’s “Boogie on, Reggae Woman.”
The Highlight of the show is the United States Country Rock queen, Emmylou Harris, who is featured in concert with Little Feat. Their songs include “Queen of the Silver Dollar” and “Rocket in my Pocket.”
A former “Marbles” member (remember “Only One Woman”?), Graham Bonnet, sings “Warm Ride,” a song written especially for him by the Bee Gees.
