Gillman back in squad

Terry Gillman, the former New Zealand XIII rugby league prop, will return to the Canterbury squad for the Rothmans match against West Coast at the Show Grounds on Saturday. Other commitments prevented Gillman from making himseh available earlier this season, and he has been listed as reserve forward for the encounter with West Coast.
A recurrence of the injury suffered by Paul Truscott during the Kiwi trials forced his withdrawal, and Danny Millward has been switched from the substitutes' bench into the frontrow. The six members of the pack all took part in Canterbury's 45-15 victory over Welling ton on Queen's Birthday MonI day.
One change was also necessary in the backs because of the serious leg gash inflicted on the wing. Pau] McCone, during last Saturday’s club round. David Field is to resume his partnership with Wally Wilson in the halves and Peter Tairi has been transferred to the wing The team is:—

EARLY KICK-OFFS All rugby league club Axtures will have unusually early kick offs over the next two week ends. un Saturday—when there are no premier or 19 years matches — the lower grades will start al 12.45 pm. to allow players to watch the representative game with West Coast.
