Marlborough, Nelson; Southerlies, strong about the Marlborough coasts, moderate south-easterlies predominating elsewhere; fine in Nelson, showers elsewhere, but a gradual improvement during the day; cold. Buller, Westland: Moderate southerlies; fine, but rather cold. Outlook: Fair in Canterbury, Nelson, and Marlborough; cloudy, with rain, on the West Coast.
