NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES Notice is given that pursuant to the provisions of the Counties Act, 1956 and Rating Act, 1967 and all other powers enabling it, the Akaroa County Council intends at a meeting to be held at the Council Chambers, Duvauchelle on Friday, June 30 1978 at 9.30 a.m. to make and levy the following rates: (b) A separate Rate pursuant to Section 112 or the Counties Act, 1956 (Pigeon Bay Hall) on the Capital Value of all rateable property appearing in the Valuation Roll for the Riding of Pigeon Bay of decimal point nought nought seven cents in the dollar (.007c in the $). AKAROA TOWN: t v Xc) A General Rate pursuant to Section 61 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1968 on the Land Value of all rateable property appearing in the Valuation Roll for the Akaroa Riding of one decimal point two seven cents in the dollar (127 c in the $). (d) A Separate Sewerage Rate pursuant to the Akaroa County Council Empowering Act, 1962 and the Sanitation By-Law, 1965 on the Land Value of all rateable property in the Akaroa Riding of decimal point two five cents in the dollar (25c in the $). (e) A Sanitation Levy pursuant to the Akaroa County Council Empowering Act, 1962 and the Sanitation By-Law 1965, a sanitation fee Of thirty two dollars ($32) per Water Closet pan to be leived on each pan connected to the Akaroa Urban Drainage Area, with the proviso that where a dwelling used solely for residential purposes has two pans, the charge fort he second pan shall be eleven dollars ($11). And that all such rates shall be for the period April 1 1978 to March 31 1979 and shall become due and pavable cm August 15, 1978. And that a discount of four per cent (4 per cent) will be allowed on all rates levied (excluding the sanitation levy) if the rates are paid within one month after due date (i.e September 14. 1978). And that an additional charge of ten per cent (10 per cent) shall be added to all outstanding rates (including the sanitation levy) remaining unpaid after February 15. 1979.
