Several calls but no Abba

Abba, the sheep which disappeared from a Seymour Street property a week ago, is still missing. Her owner, Mrs Y. V. Hetherington, said that she had received several telephone calls about sheep that had been seen, but she doubted that they referred to Abba. A sheep was seen walking along a road in Islington and another was found dead and taken to a dump by Paparua, County Council workmen.

However, the owners of a hogget lost in the city area of Christchurch may claim it through the Christchurch police. The hogget was seen wandering on Bealey Avenue before it reached Edgeware Road yesterday morning. A resident secured it and offered to feed it until its owners claimed it. The sheep has two clips out of each ear.
