Lamb and beef up again
Prices have risen again for 1 ; beef and most grades of : export lamb. In a schedule to apply at South Island works as from Monday, Pl, G, T, E, and LI grade beef has risen 2c a ■kilogram; L2 grade beef, under 220 kg, has risen 4c; I and L2 grade over 220 kg, by 2c. Manufacturing grade ox. [heifer, and cow beef has risen a further Ic.
| The influence of the North i American market is again the major influence on the rising trend. Most grades of lamb have risen 2c a kg, the exceptions being the Y grade light, and the Y grade medium. The strong London market is the influencing factor here.
I The new range of prices to farmers is:
Ox and heifer beef.—Pl 160.5 | to 220 kg, 68.5 c for ox, and 66.5 c for heifer; 220.5 to 270 kg, 74.5 c and 72.5 c; 270.5 to 340 kg, 76.5 e land 74.5 c; 340.5 kg and over. 77.5 c ;and 75.5 c a kilogram. : G grade, 160.5 to 220 kg, 64.5 c and 62.5 c; 220.5 to 270 kg, 70.5 c and 68.5 c; 270.5 to 340 kg, 72.5 c i and 70.5 c; 340.5 kg and over, 73.5 c land 71.5 c. T grade, all weights, 66.5 c and ' 64.5 c.
