N.Z. dancer on tour
NZPA Sydney The New Zealand dancer, Bryan Ashbridge, who is associate director of the Australian Ballet, will undertake | a three-month tour of overj seas theatres, the company has announced. Mr Ashbridge, whose duties include direct involvement in the company’s television productions, will visit the United States, Britain, and Europe. He will see a number of international ballet companies in performance, and discuss possible acquisitions to the Australian Ballet’s repertoire with choreographers. His other main interest will be to observe the latest overseas trends in ballet productions for television. Mr Ashbridge, a former television producer/director with the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation, and principal dancer, achieved international success with Britain’s Royal Ballet.
