Director of ‘Court' off to London
Christchurch will lose a valuable member of drama circles in December. Mr Randall Wackrow (above), director of the Court Theatre, will go with his wife to London and hopes that he will get work in the administration and design side of theatre there. “I arp getting a little old for directing and I would like to leave that to younger people,” he said yesterday. Mr Wackrow spent some time in England on a scholarship a few years ago. He said that' he did not know how long he would stay overseas but he felt that he was “suffocating” in New Zealand. Mr Wackrow has been director of the Court Theatre for the last, five years. During that time, the theatre's productions have expanded. “I enjoy administration and know I can do it because I have made the Court pay,” he said.
