Dayle Hadlee to tour
Dayle Hadlee will take his place in the New Zealand cricket team which leaves for a tour of England early next month.
The Canterbury and New Zealand medium-pace bowler was originally picked for the team towards the end of last season, but a nagging back injury threatened to prevent him from making the trip, his fourth to England. Yesterday Hadlee confirmed his availability following a strenuous two-hour trial on Friday and another on Saturday morning. “I wanted to see if I could get through a session 0.K.”, said a delighted Hadlee. “I did and made a final decision to go on Saturday lunchtime.”
The tour to England will be Hadlee’s third major overseas tour with the New Zealand cricket team.
