Uganda going to Games

Uganda has denied reports that it was pulling out of the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton in August.
An official of the National Council of Sport in Kampala said: "The withdrawal was only a baseless rumour emanating from Nairobi.” Radio Uganda said on May 7 that President Amin had decided to withold Ugandan participation in the Games until he was assured that Israelis would not be taking part.
