Murder charge
PA Auckland A Porirua seaman, Michael James Collins, aged 36, was charged with the murder of Francis George Jacobsen when ne appeared before Mr J. H. Hall, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland yesterday. He was remanded in custody to Mav 15.
The police allege that Collins murdered Mr Jacobsen on April 28 aboard the Aotea at sea between New Zealand and Japan.
