Slick hits beach
A leading East Anglian fishing and bathing resort was badly polluted yesterday by vast quantities of thick black oil from the sliced-in-two tanker Eleni V. “It is a major disaster,” said one local fisherman as oil hit several kilometres of sandy beach between Corton and Hopton-on-Sea, Norfolk. More oil is being washed ashore at Corton every minute.—London.
