Strong N.S.W. side
PA Wellington The New South Wales rugby team to play Marlborough at Blenheim tomorrow in the first match of its short New Zealand tour is its strongest possible combination.
The team is made up entirely of players who are members of the wallaby training squad. The team manager. Mr
John Howard, said the tour squad was a well-balanced one, with plenty of experience in the forwards.
“This tour is vital to the players who are in contention for the tests against Wales and the Wallaby tour to New Zealand,” he said. N.S.W. will play Wellington at Athletic Park on Sunday and Wanganui next Wednesday before playing
Sueensland at Brisbane on e way home.
N.S.W. rates the match against Wellington the toughest of the short tour.

The team to meet Marlborough is: - Mick Ellem, Steven Streeter, Bill McKid, Phil Carter, David Rathie, Ken Wright, Peter Carson, Roger Davis, Gary Pearse, Andy Stewart, Reg Smith, Garrick Fay (captain), Sandy Muston, Peter Johnston and Warrick Fletcher.
