Group attacks youth
| The Christchurch police I seek several men who attacked a youth in Aranui last evening. The victim, aged 19. was set upon as he walked past the Aranui Motor Hotel in Cuffs Road soon after 8 p.m. He was punched to the ground and kicked
many times before his assailants ran off. The injured youth was treated at the Christchurch Hospital and later discharged. Nothing was stolen from him. The police were trying to find a motive for the attack, a spokesman said.
