Former top ’Bok dead
NZPA-Reuter Stilfontein (South Africa) A former South African rugby captain, Felix du Plessis, died in Stilfontein on Saturday after a heart attack. He was aged 59. Mr du Plessis, father of the present Springbok captain, Mome du Plessis, was a lock-forward who led South Africa in its 4-0 winning home series against the New Zealand All Blacks in 1949. He collapsed and died while watching a club rugby match.
