Medical services in Karamea
Sir, — The incident concerning some' citizens of Karamea and the Medical Officer of Health for the Nelson district, should be of concern to the community at large. The families of "Karamea feel anxious without the security of medical attention in a district where their livelihood depends upon sawmilling and other hazardous occupations, and where urgent cases of all kinds must be transported over 36 miles of winding road for appropriate attention. It says much for the patience of these people that they have contained their justified resentment for so long, — Yours, etc., R. A. BALLIN. April 14, 1978.
