Blair Swift (Rex Merrie), assistant sales manager, is ruthless in his desire to get 1 ahead. Rex Merrie studied at}! the National School ofil Drama, and then spent two! years at Downstage Theatre 1 in Wellington. He hast appeared in “Close to Home,” i<
“Moynihan,” and ‘‘The Governor." Jane Dy ver, who has worked in Australia on such programmes as “Number 96,” "Certain Women,” and "Bwana” (one of “The Immigrants” series), plays Cath Deniston. the copywriter. • Keri Anne Johnson plays Julie Kerr, the receptionist. She is a young New Zealand actress who has worked with Crawford Productions in Melbourne. in “Division Four,” “Homicide” and “Matlock Police.” In 1976 she was nominated as best Australian juvenile actress. Andy Anderson, a relative newcomer to television drama, is an experienced performer. He worked in the Sydney production of “Hair” before travelling to Wellington to play in theatre productions and to front and sing in “Grunt Machine.” He plays Paul Headley, a disc. jockey. , The producer, Tom Finlay- 1 son, and the directors, Mike! Smith. Chris Bailey, and; Peter Sharp, have spent a lot j of their preparation time with record companies and radio ’ stations, particularly Radio ■lauraki, to ensure realism.
