Neto ‘very ill’

NZPA London The President of Angola (Dr Agostino Neto) is believed desperately ill with leukemia in a Moscow hospital and Soviet doctors have asked for a newly developed British drug to treat him, the London “Sunday Telegraph” has said. The newspaper said that Soviet Embassy officials privately approached British specialists, by-passing the Foreign Office, to request supplies of the medication developed by cancer researchers. It said it believed Dr Kurt Hellman, a specialist of the Westminister Hospital would advise on Dr Neto’s therapy with the drug that was recently put on the market.
