Situations Vacant Farm SCIENTIST - HILL COUNTRY RESEARCH THERE IS A VACANCY in Grassland Division, D.5.1.R., for a scientist to lead the Division’s hill country research programme. Headquarters for this programme are at our Ballantrae Research area in the Southern Ruahine Ranges, situated approximately 30 km from Palmerston North. A large programme is already underway and is implemented by the existing staff comprising 5 scientists, 6 science technicians and 4 farm staff. Expansion of staff and facilities in the near future is probable. The successful applicant should have a background of experience in agricultural a capacity to lead a research team and to implement research programmes, to handle staff and resources and to possess a good academic background.
