Retail sales down
Retail turnover for February’ was $388.2M. After correction for seasonal changes in purchasing patterns and for differing numbers of trading days in each month, sales in February showed a decrease of 0.1 per cent, compared with January. After similar adjustments, the sales for February, 1978, were 4.8 per cent higher than those for February 1977.
