Noise from aircraft

Sir, — Among many others out this way, I too, endorse the views expressed by G. A. Leicester and feel a greater effort is needed to minimise the noisy presence of the R.N.Z.A.F. Airtrainers. We have gone to great effort to live in the country for peace and quiet, only to be continually harassed by a forever circling noisy machine on almost every pleasant sunny day. Is it fair that one or two people enjoy themselves flying about not only at the taxpayers’ expense but at the cost of my peace and quiet? — Yours, etc., PAULINE HORN. Lakeside. April 6, 1978.
