Blood clots monitored
A rheograph machine presented to the cardiovascular unit at The Princess Margaret Hospital two weeks ago has already been used about 20 or 30 times on patients, according to Mr J. W. Ardagh, a surgeon at the hospital. The machine, valued at $B5OO, was presented by the Waimairi Lions Club to the hospital, from money raised from the club’s “vintage country fair.” | It is used primarily for detecting post-operative I blood clots.
