Amplifier stolen
An amplifier valued at $595 was stolen after thieves forced a door to a Fendalton Road house early yesterday. Detectives are also investigating two other big burglaries of private homes in Christchurch yesterday. Clothing and tramping gear worth $335 was stolen from a house in Barrie Street, Addington, and a .22 rifle and a dictaphone, worth a total of $305, were taken from a house in Rata Street, Riccarton.
