Night rugby to start again
I Night rugby, under the 'floodlights at Denton Park, [will begin this season with [the C.S.B. Cup game tonight between Linwood and Burnside. The starting time is 7.30 p.m. I The Canterbury Rugby I Union’s competitions committee hopes to give all 16 [senior teams a Wednesdaynight game, which means jthat, weather permitting, there will be a game each 'week until the end df May.
The practice adopted last .year of having the mid-week game taken from the following Saturday’s draw has been retained. Prior to that, when Monday nights were .used, the night game completed a round. The change was made last winter so that if the night game had to be postponed • because of the weather then it could be played with the .other games of the round on I the following Saturday.
