Emperor mine lost $1M

The Emperor Gold Mining Co, Ltd. has reported a J5Au5t1,068,945 loss for the I six months to December 31. j The parent company, Emperor Mines, Ltd, had a net loss of $630,519 for the six months, and no dividend had been declared for the period. The gold mining company has now returned to profitability after a “significant rearrangement” resulting in more than half the work . force being laid off in January. I The gold mining loss was ‘ partly offset by results of other sections of the Emperlor group, which had a com- ] bined net profit of $438,426. ! Emperor Mines’ gross rev[enue rose 16.3 per cent to i$6.2M.
