Stud ban
The Wellington Soccer Referees’ Association has banned the use of tapered aluminium studs at matches under its control reports the Press Association from Wellington. “Players are getting punctured by these things: we have got to take a firm line,’’ said the publicity officer for the association, George Billing, yesterday. The ban would apply to local and visiting teams.
