Disqualified
NZPA Sydney The Rosehill trainer. Jack Denham. his jockey son, Allan, and a part-owner, the bookmaker, Tom Lee, have been disqualified for six months by Australian Jockey Club stewards after an inquiry into the running of the two-year-old colt. Bold Akkadian. AU three were found guilty but no action was taken against Bold Akkadian or the horse’s other part-owner, Mr Lee’s wife. The three parties indicated that they would lodge appeals as soon as possible. Bold Akkadian finished unplaced in the Wentworth Handicap at Randwick on March 27 and stewards immediately opened an inquiry. The inquiry was adjourned three times before the final sitting yesterday.
