Mr Strachan, sitting beside a porthole from the Rama, and holding a superbly cast gunmetal ringbolt and a small brass tap from the vessel. The tap, which is in perfect condition, was found in the engine-room of the Rama. Only the drip tin is missing. A brass rudder indicator, part of the helm, has been sent to Mr Kelly Tarlton’s maritime museum in the Bay of Islands.
