Gift of a fountain
Lincoln College is to have an ornamental fountain as a result of the generosity of the Bank of New South Wales. The director of the college, Professor J. D. Stewart, confirmed this week that the bank had very graciously agreed that its gift of $lO,OOO to the college to mark its centenary should take this form. The college, he said, had already had plans for the erection of a fountain. The fountain, which would be situated east of the main administration building between it and the Hilgendorf wing, had been designed by the college’s own landscape architects and would be erected this year.
