Export Year response
More than 1000 companies and organisations have so far asked to be involved in Export Year, according to the chairman of the Export Year Committee (Mr A. Hellaby). The registrations were all received within two weeks of the firms’ receiving a letter from Mr Hellaby. “I am delighted with this response,” he said. “The committee had hoped that it
could achieve a total of 1000 registrations during the next 12 months. To reach this mark in two weeks is an 1 example of the increasing' export awareness throughout! New Zealand.” New Zealand’s Export; Year was based on a similar' British campaign, which had had an initial response of 500 companies and eventually had attracted more, than 1000, Mr Hellabv said.;
