Nine teams in bowls
Two Woolston W.M.C. teams and seven others, all from different clubs, will contest the final rounds at Woolston W.M.C. today of the Christchurch Women’s Bowling Centre’s annual open fours tournament. These were the nine teams to emerge as winners of their sections from two days of qualifying rounds yesterday and Monday. In the first round at 9 a.m. today A. Whiting (Woolston W.M.C.) will meet T. Kelly (Burnside). The other seven skips, t o resume in the second round, at 10.15 a.m., are (in playing order) E. Brown (Spreydon), J. Walker (Shirley), I. Muirson (Linwood), M. Burrell (Woolston WM..C.), A. McDonald (Burwood), J. Papps (Mount Pleasant), D. Beaumont (Redcliffs).
