‘God Boy’ shown
NZPA London. The New Zealand television production of “The God Boy” was shown on Independent Television in Britain yesterday. The film, based on the book bv lan Cross, deals with the break-up of a marriage as seen through the eyes of a young boy, who enters his own private battle with God. Jamie Higgins the main role as Jimmy Sullivan with Maria Craig and Graham Tetley as his par-
ents. Former “Coronation Street” star Ivan Beavis is featured as Bioody Jack, a fisherman who befriends the boy. “The Gob Boy,” which "The God Boy,” which it was shown in New Zealand, was bought by Independent Television more than a year ago. Another New Zealand television production, "Hunter’s Gold,” is being screened on Monday afternoons. Two segments of the 13-part series remain.
