University roll down
About 6500 students enrolled at the University o Canterbury this week, compared with 7400 last year. However, this sear's figures could not fairly be compared with last year’s, said a spokesman, as the
rail strike had delayed students in the North Island. More were expected to enrol. The figures, by faculties, are: arts 2551, science 1602, law 468, commerce 937, music 80, engineering 630, fine arts 132, forestry 57.
