THREE PLAYS BY CHILDREN
“Child's Play.'' from South Pacific Television iomorrow, features three plays written by New Zealand children 15 years of age and under. It will be introduced by Ilona Rodgers and Selwyn Crockett. "Hospital Life" by 15-year-old Derek McGovern, of Wellington tells of Sir Arthur Crank (Howard Hayden) who is in a private hospital (for a reason never mentioned) and causes Dr Kerridge (Roger Oakley) and Nurse Odeon (Ilona Rodgers) no end of trouble. Vickie Spong of Auck-
land is also 15-years-old. Her play, "One Moment in Annihilation's Waste.’’ deals with a difference in outlook on life and values when live people (Grant Bridger, Roger Oakley, Selwyn Crockett. Glynis McNicholl and John Cronin) share an underground bunker in modem wartime. “Search for the Days of Our Young and the Restless” by Bruce Pedersen of Feilding (age. 14) is a parody on the daytime soap operas. It stars Ilona Rodger as Lola Vamp and Grant Bridger as Steve Perfect.
