The Heathcote County Council last evening passed a ; resolution to have the chairman (Mr J. M. McKenzie) in(form the Metropolitan Grants .Committee that it believes committee meetings should Ibe held in public, not in ’ closed session as is now the ’case. Cr R. H. T. Thompson said ] the committee did not 'actually make grants, only (recommendations, and there- : fore should have nothing to ihide.
